4x4 excursions  camel caravans and more...

Welcome to Sahara Holiday Agency. This is your first step to the real and larger desert, where you will experience a Saharan adventure unlike any other. With its extraordinary excursions, Sahara Holiday opens for you the door to a harmonious and authentic desert, and offers a different excursion in the desert, by camels and 4x4.

On foot, on the back of a dromedary or in a four wheel drive vehicle, however you decide to travel, our team will lead you through the oases and the palm groves and introduce you to the people and landscapes of the Moroccan Deep South, following the caravan trails formerly used by the traders who used to criss-cross the Drâa Valley on their way South to barter fabrics, glass beads and salt.

Generally speaking Sahara Holiday Agency will help you to see a different places in Morocco and especially in  the desert and make you discover the nomad's way of life…
We do offer a different trip by camels, 4x4 or both for individual and groups at the same time.

Traveling in Morocco:
Join us in getting to the heart of Morocco through an exploration of its arts and culture. Morocco is a complex and diverse country that has the Mediterranean Ocean to its north, the Atlas mountain ranges in its center, the Atlantic Ocean to its west, and the vast open Sahara to its south.
It has long been the crossroads between Europe, the Middle East, and West Africa, and its geographic diversity is matched by its cultural diversity. Berbers, Romans, Arabs, Jews, West Africans, and Europeans have all influenced the arts and culture of Morocco. Our tours allow the participants to explore historical interactions between these different groups in order to understand how they have all contributed to the artistic identity of contemporary Morocco.
Our tour provide participants with the unique opportunity to meet with locals, visit the historical, cultural, and artistic centers of Morocco. Medieval Islamic arts can be found in the city of Fes. Time spent in the Saharan region of southeastern Morocco introduces participants to Berber nomadic arts, including carpet making and the way of living. Participants take camel rides across the desert, visit the nomads and experience a sleep in the Sahara desert under the stars. A visit to the southwestern city of Marrakech allows participants to explore museums and galleries of Moroccan art and see artists actually making art. You will also be treated to musical and dance performances along the way
Erg Chegaga dunes also known as Laabaidlya  dunes are the face of Sahara in Morocco and a visit to Morocco can't be completed without a visit to these dunes. Orange coloured sand and therapeutic features makes Erg Chegaga the perfect scenery for an unforgettable trip into the dunes to be familiar with real nomads while you enjoy Moroccan culture, regional Saharan costumes, music and southern Moroccan cuisine.

Mountains trips
On mountain trip, you will have the chance to experience the best of Morocco's active pursuits, while really getting to know the people and making a difference to various communities. In Imlil in the High Atlas Mountains, we will stay with a local family and learn about life in the mountains. There is a chance for women to have henna, a regional art form, done on them and later in the evening there is an opportunity to see some locals perform traditional music. While staying in the Dades Gorge, we spend a night in a nomad's tent, learning about the Berber way of life and enjoying some fine Berber drumming and dancing.

Morocco is well known for its food and we have the opportunity to sample the best on offer by participating in a cooking demonstration of couscous and tajine at our friend, Houssein's home. We believe it's the best couscous in Morocco and combined with the pleasant company of Our Guides.

Southern Morocco is the new frontier for those seeking a slightly different experience or quite often the destination of choice for repeat visits and for those with a more adventurous spirit.

South of Morocco
The South of Morocco with its kasbahs and direct access to the Sahara is growing in popularity. To make the most of your visit to this fascinating region of Morocco, Rediscover the World has put together a comprehensive programme of desert trips based out of each the main places to stay, Ouarzazate, Zagora and Erfoud as well as two and three day excursions from Marrakech for those of you on short breaks to the Imperial city.
